FAQs - Strato Dynamics

Have questions about aero kits, forged wheels, turbofans, or shipping? Find quick answers to the most common topics our customers ask.

1. What type of carbon fiber does Strato Dynamics use?

We manufacture all aero components using 100% pre-preg dry carbon fiber, cured in an autoclave for maximum strength, minimal weight, and a premium motorsport-grade finish.

This process delivers superior rigidity, heat resistance, and durability compared to wet-lay carbon.

2. What’s included with each aero kit or component?

All Strato Dynamics products include high-quality hardware, vehicle-specific mounting brackets, and a detailed 3D-rendered installation guide to ensure proper fitment.

Everything required for installation is included in the package.

3. Where is Strato Dynamics based?

Strato Dynamics operates globally with its headquarters in Chicago, USA, and works with advanced composites and manufacturing facilities around the world.

We maintain distribution centers in North America, Europe, and Asia to support efficient worldwide shipping.

4. How long will my order take to ship?

If a product is in stock, it typically ships within 24–72 hours, depending on product size and packaging requirements.

For custom-order items, lead times vary — please contact us at any time to discuss current scheduling.

All shipments include tracking numbers and can be monitored through your Strato Dynamics account.

5. How are carbon aero kits installed?

Each aero component includes a step-by-step installation guide outlining all tools, hardware, and fitment instructions. Most parts utilize OEM mounting points.

Review the guide beforehand to determine if you’re comfortable installing the component yourself, and feel free to contact us with any questions.

6. What is your return and exchange policy?

Unused and uninstalled products may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

If a product arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it at no cost after reviewing your claim.

7. Are all sales final on custom or made-to-order parts?

Yes — all custom, painted, or made-to-order components (including forged wheels and certain aero parts) are final sale.

Please confirm all specifications and fitment details prior to completing your purchase.

8. What are your wheels made of?

Strato Dynamics forged wheels are produced from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum using a 10,000-ton forging press for superior grain structure and material density.

All designs undergo FEA structural analysis and are tested to meet JWL and VIA safety standards.

9. Do your parts require cutting, drilling, or modifications?

Most Strato Dynamics components are designed for OEM-plus fitment with minimal or no permanent modification.

Review the installation guide to determine the skill level required.

If you’re unsure, reach out to our team — we’re here to help clarify any steps so you can decide whether installation is within your comfort level.

10. Do you ship internationally?

Yes — Strato Dynamics offers worldwide shipping with insured delivery to over 50 countries.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout, and all orders include real-time tracking information.

11. What is the difference between dry carbon and wet carbon?

Dry carbon is produced using pre-preg carbon fiber cured under vacuum pressure and high heat inside an autoclave. This results in components that are lighter, stronger, and more dimensionally accurate than wet-lay carbon.

Dry carbon also offers superior weave clarity, thermal stability, and motorsport-grade performance, making it the preferred choice for high-end aero applications.

12. Are your aero parts CFD tested?

Yes — all Strato Dynamics aero components undergo CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) development to validate downforce, drag reduction, flow separation, and cooling performance.

This process ensures our wings, splitters, diffusers, and turbofans deliver real aerodynamic benefits before ever reaching physical production.

13. How much weight do your dry carbon parts save compared to OEM

Weight savings vary by component, but dry carbon typically offers:

- 40–70% reduction compared to OEM plastic or FRP

- 50–80% reduction compared to steel or aluminum OE reinforcement panels

This results in improved handling, faster response, reduced rotational inertia, and overall performance gains

14. Do turbofans or aero discs affect brake cooling?

Our turbofans and aero discs are designed using CFD airflow analysis to manage heat while improving aerodynamic efficiency.

Depending on design, turbofans can:

- Improve brake cooling by drawing air through the wheel (pump-style designs), or

- Reduce turbulence and drag for high-speed applications (flat or sealed designs)

We specify the intended purpose of each turbofan model to ensure proper fitment for street, track, or show use.

15. Are Strato Dynamics aero kits compatible with aftermarket bumpers or exhaust systems?

Most components are designed around OEM dimensions, ensuring precise fitment with factory bodywork.

Compatibility with aftermarket bumpers, diffusers, side skirts, or exhaust systems varies by brand — contact us if you’re unsure and we can verify clearance, mounting points, and compatibility before you order.
